Choosing the Right Film for Your Home

Design Plus Window Tint Films

The window tint films in this series include a popular range of colors. Each comes in your choice of “shade” or degree of visible light transmission. The Daylight Natural “DN” tint films are neutral in color and provide maximum light. For greater degree of control, Sunset Bronze “SB” tint films have the warm bronze look associated with the look of expensive tinted glass. For maximum glare of heat control with low back reflection, the hi-tech, “dual reflective” Scenic View “SV” tint films are an excellent choice.

Safe Plus Safety and Security Films

The metallized films in this series are available in many of the same colors and shade levels as Design Plus. They are bonded to an additional polyester barrier for extra safety.

Our Safe Plus film series offers you the choice of protection levels which safeguard glass from threats ranging from environmental effects to terrorist acts. Discuss these options with your professional installer.

Safe Plus window film helps protect you from…

- Natural Hazards

The installation of Safe Plus film offers protection to people and property in the face of natural disasters. The durable polymer film construction and tough adhesive bonds to glass creating a functional “safety net” that holds glass in place when your home or workplace is threatened.

Safe Plus film help keep glass intact. During hurricanes and tornadoes, safety film can prevent penetration of windows by flying objects. Recent safety research documented that window film saves lives and reduces property damage.

Studies after earthquakes have confirmed that structures with window film substantially reduced the hazard of flying and shattered glass, a major sources of injury.

Natural hazards include UV rays, heat and glare. UV light is a health hazard and it shortens the life of interior furnishings. Solar energy and heat gain stress air conditioning systems, increasing energy costs. Safe Plus films address safety concerns, cut UV light and reduce solar heat problems at the same time.

- Accidental Damage

At home, the lawnmower propels a rock, a stray baseball strikes and unintended target, a toddler falls against a bay window. Installation of the correct security film makes episodes like these inconveniences rather than emergencies. Shattering glass and ‘shards’ are eliminated by the Johnson “safety net” that holds the glass in place, reducing injury and damage.

Industrial activity presents risks in every community. Industrial explosions have broken windows and propelled flying glass ‘shards’ up to eight miles away from the blast. Safe Plus films help protect nearby homes and buildings in the event of such catastrophes.

- Human Threats

While natural hazards and accidents have always been with us, modern life presents increasing danger from human violence. Personal safety and property are both exposed to expanding levels of risk. Safe Plus film provides a high level of protection against human driven hazards.

Vandalism and ‘Smash-and-Grab’ crimes are on the rise. Johnson Safe Plus security film is a deterrent to both vandals and thieves. This tough laminated film can protect windows from graffiti damage. Even after being smashed, Safe Plus film helps to hold glass panes in place and prevents easy entry.

Glass has been called the real terrorist weapon. A great number of injuries and fatalities are cause by flying glass when explosions occur. Security film is used by governments, industry and homeowners around the world for protection.
